Mr. Major Asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food how many instances have been established of foreign plant pests and diseases entering the United Kingdom following the making of the Import and Export (Plant Health) (Great Britain) Order 1980 and the Plant Pests (Great Britain) Order 1980.

Mr. Wiggin Statutory action was taken in 392 cases during the eight month period ending 31 December 1980.
