Mr Major’s Written Question on the A1-M1 Link – 10 February 1982

Below is the text of Mr Major’s Parliamentary written question on the A1-M1 Link, published on 10th February 1982.

Mr. Major Asked the Secretary of State for Transport when he expects to issue the main line and side road orders for construction of the A1-M1 link.

Mr. Freud Asked the Secretary of State for Transport if he will make a statement about the future of the A1 –M1 link road.

Mr. Kenneth Clarke The M1-A1 link road is a very large scheme and a great deal of work has been necessary to get it to the stage of publishing draft line and side road orders, but I hope to be able to do so soon.
