Mr. Wigley Asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many payments of severe weather allowance have been made in Wales this winter.

Mr. Major Up to 3 March 1987, the latest date for which figures are available, approximately 125,000 £5 weekly payments for exceptionally cold weather were made in Wales.
