Mrs. Virginia Bottomley To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will make a statement on the current level of real personal disposable income in the United Kingdom.

Mr. Nicholas Bennett To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will make a statement on the current level of real personal disposable income in the United Kingdom.

Mr. Major Real personal disposable income in 1987 is estimated to have been 15 per cent. higher than in 1979. Further growth is expected this year.
